SoftX HTTP Debugger allows you to view and analyze all communications between a web browser, or any other Internet related program, and the web server over the HTTP protocol.

View the HTTP header of an HTTP request or response
By analyzing HTTP headers you can view a wide range of information sent by the web browser in the HTTP request to the web server, and a wide range of information in the corresponding HTTP response received from the web server. For example, the HTTP request header contains; the request method (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc), the supported HTTP version, the requested URL, the HTTP header parameter values, the accepted encodings and charsets, cookies etc. The HTTP response header contains; the web server HTTP version, the server platform, content encoding and length, cookies, error codes and more.

View the HTTP content of an HTTP request or response
By analyzing the HTTP content of an HTTP request you can view the submitted HTML form details, uploaded images etc. By analyzing the HTTP content of an HTTP response you can view the received HTML/XML web page source, stylesheets and images.

Preview an HTML/XML web page or an image
If the captured HTTP request or HTTP response contains an HTML/XML web page or an image, then it can be viewed in the built-in web browser control. All captured HTTP traffic can be saved onto the hard disk in a variety of formats.

Optimize your web site performance
With SoftX HTTP Debugger you can measure the size of your web pages, and download time (including the size and time of frames, images, flash movies etc). This enables you to significantly improve the performance of your web site, by isolating which web pages are large and may need dividing up, and which dynamic web pages are performing slowly and need optimizing for speed.
